Today, we proudly announce the release of Kaptivo Self-Hosted, a new feature that allows administrators to configure Kaptivo to run in either cloud or local (self-hosted) operation mode.
Under the Self-Hosted mode, the Kaptivo operates completely within the local network and does not send or receive any data via the Internet. The application of self-hosted mode won the AV Network’s Best in Show award at InfoComm 2018.
The Self-Hosted configuration is part of the Kaptivo Firmware Release 1.1.0, which also includes many bug fixes and system improvements.
No purchase is necessary if you already own a compatible Kaptivo whiteboard capture camera.
Requirements
Firmware Release 1.1.0 is compatible with any Kaptivo produced after May 2018 (model AF-10380-970). These are models with Ethernet connectivity. Older models that are Wi-Fi only are not supported. Updates to Firmware Release 1.1.0 will automatically be provided to all compatible Kaptivo devices over the air – there are no actions you need to take.
