At InfoComm 2018, Kaptivo demonstrated its commitment to developing solutions tailored for enterprise and educational institutions. Following the May 1st launch of Kaptivo Enterprise, Kaptivo announced Kaptivo HDMI and Kaptivo Self-Hosted, which won the AV Technology Best in Show award.
The on-premise Kaptivo Self-Hosted is ideal for organizations looking to improve collaboration through whiteboard archiving and sharing while accommodating strict security policies that restrict access to cloud services. No traffic leaves the corporate network, and no internet access is required. The whiteboard camera system sits securely within the network, keeping valuable company IP under the control of IT.
Kaptivo HDMI streams any whiteboard directly to any HDMI-capable display, video conference codec, or lecture capture system. It’s designed for educational institutions and enterprises who wish to integrate whiteboard livestreaming into dedicated video systems. With expanded connectivity options organizations can deploy quickly to immediately realize the benefits of improved collaboration and streamlined communications.
In addition to the new product announcements, Kaptivo previewed beta features, such as the ability to share directly to Google Classroom and two-way collaboration via digital annotation and messaging. It also used the opportunity to highlight its BlueJeans integration, which enables one-click whiteboard sharing directly from your BlueJeans Room. Highlighting partnerships, Kaptivo welcomed ScanSource to the global distribution channel. Kaptivo also celebrated the recognition of Crestron’s AirBoard, powered by Kaptivo. AirBoard won Best in Show for both Installation and Tech and Learning. The positive reception to Kaptivo and its partners validated the need for whiteboard conferencing and saving.
